Greeted with warm welcoming smiles at the door before being seated at the well presented, spacious table already predicts a higher level of restaurant service. The interior creates a lovely ambience by adapting their traditional timeless style whilst incorporating a slightly more modern feel. Not looking for anything too heavy, I browsed over the lunch menu, which gave a nice variety of large and smaller dishes as well as a set menu, all at very reasonable prices.
The set menu which had three choices is priced at £9.95 which includes a soft drink. However, if you choose to go for something off the main lunch menu, there is a larger choice and personally I think you get more for your money even if it adds on another £1. On the set menu starters included Thai fishcakes and springrolls and for main Thai red or green curry, or perhaps you may prefer a larger main meal. From the wide choice available is Pad Priew Wan; tender chicken, pork or prawns and vegetables stir fried in sweet and sour sauce served with rice, another option is Khao Kratiem Prik Thai; tender chicken, beef, pork or prawns stir-fried with garlic and ground white pepper served with rice, amongst many more options.
After deciding I went for the Satay Chicken, marinated and cooked on skewers, which was mouthwateringly delicious to start. For main course I chose from the main menu, Gaeng Khiew Wan, a green curry in coconut milk with an aromatic selection of Thai herbs, with either chicken, beef or pork. This Thai green curry with chicken was supremely delightful and a nice way to fill that small lunch time hole. This is a wonderful restaurant to go to for any occasion, fantastic service, excellent prices and Thai-tastic food!
Patoo offers a selection of dishes both popular and some house specials. All dishes are freshly prepared by Patoo chefs.
